as a follow-up of his book concerning the spiritual in art the russian painter and art theorist wassily kandinsky developped the graphic sign beyond a descriptive function in his work point and line to plane. with sound points sound lines and sound surfaces kandinsky's idea is continued in the age of digital societies.

each algorithm takes the 16 pairs of letters of the poem _anas_meer as INPUt and generates 16 lines in the colors YELLOW BLUE GREEN RED ORANGE and VIOLET as OUTPUT. the PROCESSING is done by coloring each pair of letters XY to a line from X to Y in a certain frame.

WHO‘S Andreas Meier?
a computer scientist and artist
andreas meier is professor emeritus of data science and a computer artist. he studied music in vienna and mathematics at the ETH in zurich. he conducted research in silicon valley california before taking up a professorship in fribourg in switzerland and spending years in vietnam and ecuador working on digital society issues. since his retirement he has devoted himself increasingly to generative poetry and experimental music.

the fuzzy logic is multivalent and besides 0 an 1 it uses all values between 0 and 1. instead of a black and white landscape the truth is captured with shades of gray.
